Thijmen Meijer

Founder and Managing Partner

Thijmen, coming from the hospitality industry, he started his career in recruitment at Randstad Sourceright. Leading numerous high-performance large teams for global RPO accounts in the engineering and pharmaceutical sector. He then continued to KPMG, where he led the conceptualization, execution, and evolution of the company's L&D, Global Mobility and Talent Acquisition strategy from scratch. After KPMG, he started his own recruitment agency, supporting a local boutique agency, Diepeveen & Partners. After a brief interim assignment, Thijmen decided to specialize in international ESG recruitment and executive search.

Imard Veenstra

Partner and Consultant

Imard brings over 6 years of sales experience across various industries before transitioning into the field of recruitment. He has filled roles internationally in, among others, engineering, sales and finance, many of them in the PV and manufacturing industry. With fluency in Dutch, German, Hungarian, and English, he enjoys working on an international level. Not only because he is a member of Generation Z, Imard’s passion for the environment is evident, as he actively engages in sustainable practices. He holds an MSc.degree from the German-speaking Andrássy University, and has also studied at the renowned IVA Business School. This unique combination equips him with a solid foundation to grasp technical concepts, bridging the gap between business and sustainable technology.

Martina Méhes

Senior Consultant

Martina has a diverse experience in the energy sector, from developing innovative community energy business solutions, to carbon accounting and sustainability reporting. She supervised large-scale solar park developments. She conducted fundamental research in thermonuclear physics, hydrogeology, and conservation projects. Likewise, she has a holistic approach to energy-related topics and puts a great emphasis on social responsibility and scientific education. Currently, she is the head of the prestigious Energiaklub Climate Policy and Applied Science Center, an independent Hungarian NGO specializing in energy and climate-related projects and policies. She takes part in an extensive EU-based international network of energy and climate policy professionals. Furthermore, she oversees the preparation and management of EU-funded projects, (co-)authors studies and articles, regularly appears in the media, participates in policy discussions, and performs civil duties.

Matilda Patsou

Matilda, with over a decade of international HR and recruitment expertise, founded Brandwiser in 2019 to bring a personalized touch to professional development. Her coaching integrates HR insights, innovative career strategies, and a genuine passion for helping her clients thrive. With a track record of supporting 400+ high achievers from 45+ countries, she's dedicated to guiding professionals towards more fulfilling roles and helping them strategically plan their long-term career development.

László Tóth-Deák

Business Development Partner

László has long experience in environmental business-related fields, public services, waste management, recycling, raw material trade and HVAC efficiency. He started his top management career in 2007, and ever since leading different-sized multinational or local companies. Worked several years in the field of public services, being involved in waste management projects in CEE. Thereafter, he continued in the paper industry as head of a multinational group's local branch. He built up the company's structure, integrated it into a developing organisation, and set up ERP and WMS for the increasing business unit. Following this, he started his management consulting business, which specialised in environmental, packaging and recycling, circular economy and legal obligations. Furthermore, Laszlo got involved in a Swiss group's, Balkans development in trading with recyclable raw materials and spreading the circular economy concept among partners in many countries. Lately finished a collaboration with a local HVAC specialised company and now he turned towards developing our sustainability focused search firm in the region, as Business Development Partner of Meijer&Co.

Luis Cano

DEI Consultant

For the last eight years, Luis been working on labour relations policy, diversity & inclusion and learning and development strategies. His experience includes creating communication/engagement strategies and improving learning development workflows. His experience in the corporate sector includes public relations, diversity and inclusion, employee communications and managing labour relations on the EMEA level. Meanwhile, his experience in the public sector is based on political communication, organizational development and diversity in politics.

Mirjam Donáth

Brand Journalist

With seventeen years of experience in journalism working in Budapest, Brasilia, and New York, Mirjam started out as a radio journalist for Hungarian Public Radio. As a recipient of the Fulbright grant and the American Association of University Women International Fellowship, she gained her M.S. from Columbia University's Journalism School and her M.A. in business journalism from New York University.  She worked for Reuters News in New York for six years, coordinating and creating multimedia coverage with Reuters colleagues around the world under tight deadlines. She has been freelancing with feature pieces for magazines such as Forbes Hungary and Marie Claire Hungary interviewing people from the head of Tate Modern to the Director of Infectious Diseases for the Ministry of Health of Brazil. Between 2012-2015 she ran a biweekly online column on self-initiated migration for Magyar Narancs, a Hun political weekly that turned out to be one of the most-read columns out of the website's 40. Mirjam wrote a non-fiction book about the way New York City builds character (Dreams of Others, 2017, Athenaeum) now in second edition.

Attila Kerekes

Designer and Copywriter

Through projekt1066, Attila supports our website design as well as later contributing to our blog. This includes designing, building and maintaining the website, as well as later writing articles for our insights page. He has many years of experience in the public and private sector, having made a career in recruitment, before moving into marketing in 2021.

Alex Gerritsen

Non-Executive Director

Alex has 20 years of experience in the recruitment industry and helped over 500 companies find employees. He worked as Managing Director with Sthree, covering nine offices with around 700 Staff. Afterwards, Alex moved into investment management in London as an investment director. In 2019 he restructured one of Germany's largest permanent recruitment companies called Perm4. Currently, he is Partner DACH with the SR group and supports Hessian clients through his own company GPU. As a Partner within Meijer&Co, he supports our growth and upscaling within the CEE region.

Ede Borbély

Non-Executive Director

Ede has 13 years of experience in the energy industry. He worked in energy sales, transformation, strategy and due diligence projects at BCG, the Boston Consulting Group, for clients in 10+ countries. Afterwards, he was leading the creation of the renewable energy and energy efficiency division of MOL Group, a European industrial company. In 2023, he joined BwB, the Investment Bank for Earth, as a Vice President. BwB provides non-profit financial advisory for governments and international institutions and aims to attract sufficient private and public capital to green transition projects globally.

Vince Szymczak

Advisory Board Member

Vince has spent 10+ years in global sourcing as a methodology and technology subject matter expert. He has helped 300+ clients globally to solve their sourcing and recruitment challenges first in an RPO and later in a boutique consultancy environment. His key areas of expertise include auditing recruitment processes, setting up sourcing organizations, training sourcing methodology, recruitment technology selection and implementation. Currently, Vince is a Senior Consultant of The Source CODΞ Agency, whose mission is helping great companies build and maximize their sourcing capabilities.

Gábor Molnár

Advisory Board Member

Gábor started his career more than 10 years ago when he joined McKinsey&Company and spent almost 3 years focusing on various industries including financial services, energy and telecom. In 2015, he moved on to join MET Group, one of the fastest growing energy companies in Europe. During the last almost one decade, he has been actively shaping the establishment and expansion of the activities in the renewable energy sector. Gábor is currently the Director of Development & Engineering, responsible for implementing and constructing the gigawatt-scale renewable asset portfolio of MET Group across Europe.

Eda G. Pogany

Advisory Board Member

Éda’s passion for business sustainability has led her work in the FMCG and agriculture technology sector with Procter&Gamble, Coca-Cola HBC and Syngenta for the past 20+ years. She co-developed processes for managing and measuring sustainability strategy, engaging with stakeholders across the value chain and transparently reporting about achievements and challenges. She believes that only sustainable business models will thrive, led by teams that can partner and co-create with other businesses, governments, regulators and civil society. Éda currently leads sustainability and communications for Syngenta’s Field Crop Seeds business across EAME.
